Accessibility

Last updated August 18, 2026

Virginia Internet LLC is committed to making our website, customer tools, communications, and services usable by people with disabilities. Accessibility is an ongoing part of how we design, build, review, and improve our digital services.

Our accessibility target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA where reasonably applicable to our public website and customer-facing digital experiences. These guidelines address perceivable content, keyboard operation, understandable interactions, and compatibility with assistive technologies.

Measures we take

  • Use semantic headings, labels, landmarks, and accessible names.
  • Support keyboard navigation and visible focus indication.
  • Maintain readable contrast, responsive text, and layouts that adapt to smaller screens and zoom.
  • Provide text alternatives for meaningful non-text content where appropriate.
  • Use established accessible interface components for dialogs and other focus-managed interactions.
  • Respect reduced-motion preferences for nonessential movement.
  • Review accessibility when adding or materially changing customer-facing features.

Compatibility

Our website is intended to work with current versions of major browsers and commonly used assistive technologies. Results may vary with older browsers, unsupported devices, custom browser extensions, or combinations of technology that do not follow current web standards.

Known limitations

Some third-party content, maps, documents, payment tools, embedded services, or legacy materials may not fully meet our accessibility target. Third parties control the accessibility of their independent products, but we welcome reports and will look for a reasonable alternative or remediation when practical.

The customer portal is currently a placeholder and does not yet provide live account functionality. Accessibility review will continue as operational portal features are introduced.

Reasonable accommodations and alternative formats

If you cannot access information or complete a task because of a disability, tell us what you were trying to do, the page or feature involved, the format or assistance you prefer, and how we may contact you. We will make reasonable efforts to provide the information or service through an accessible alternative.

Feedback

Accessibility feedback may be submitted through the customer portal, emailed to hello@virginiainternet.net, or mailed to:

Please include enough detail for us to identify the issue. We review accessibility feedback and prioritize corrections based on impact, feasibility, and available alternatives.

Applicable standards and law

Our accessibility efforts are informed by WCAG and applicable federal, state, and local accessibility requirements, which may include the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act when applicable, the Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act for covered services, and relevant Virginia law. The application of a particular law depends on the service, technology, organization, and circumstances.

Ongoing improvement

Technology and accessibility standards continue to evolve. We may update this statement as our services, testing practices, or legal obligations change.
